Well discussing about laneway housing in Toronto  I must say that since the government of Toronto has started by-law allowing the construction of laneway suites in  2018 June its been a tremendous growth in the in the interest of the laneway suites in public, also the public are ready to buy them.

The City of Toronto is now allowing Laneway Housing, albeit in a confined area thus far.

It took the entire summer for the city to post by-laws as they pertain to this new housing type, which the real estate industry, property owners, and potential developers/end users are now assessing.

Well it had to be after all there are so many benefits of it like

  • Safer Laneways, Less Crime

Since the entire property will have inhabitants, and both lanes will have people living there, we see a decrease in the crime rate. Alleyways are usually targeted as high crime spots. Eliminating these areas and converting them into habitable or recreational spaces immediately makes the area safer.

Depending on the neighbourhood or area, adding a laneway house can addto its character. Traditionally, laneway homes are designed to complement the main house of the property.
